Food Pantry Must be a resident of the 97016 zip code area and meet USDA income eligibility guidelines Oregon Healthy Kids Program Turning Point is an authorized application organization for the Oregon Healthy Kids Program. Parents are welcome to come in to fill out paperwork for this great program. Clatskanie Feeding Hungry Kids Program Suggested Shopping List: Individual size packages of breakfast cereal or Instant oatmeal packs Cereal bars/ granola bars or fruit filled snack bars Soups (canned or dried) Small serving sizes of Beanie weinies, chili, pork and beans, spaghetti, etc Fruit cups, Pudding cups, Raisins, dried cranberries and other dried fruits in small packs Snack sizes of trail mixes or peanuts Snack crackers 100% fruit juices in small containers The above items can be collected at any time and our volunteers will assemble them into individual meals bags for the children to take home weekly. Fresh fruit such as apples, oranges, or string cheese can also be brought. We will hold them at Turning Point until Friday so they can be refrigerated until they are sent home. Clothing Bank Available to victims of personal disaster and our food clients Utility Assistance Share the Warmth, Referrals to LIEAP, Emergency Food and Shelter dollars for utility needs. Income verification is required for these services. Housing Help One time assistance with rent or minimal mortgage payment to prevent homelessness. Income verification is required. Referrals to shelter housing programs. Transportation Columbia County Rider bus tickets with assistance accessing the system if needed. Also, Sunset Empire bus to Astoria/Seaside. Occasional gas vouchers on a limited basis. Gas vouchers are considered loans and must be paid back.
